Effective 4/01/25, The Jasper Municipal Water Department has begun the spring hydrant flushing and maintenance program. Flushing hours are from 7:30am until 3:00pm Monday-Friday.
The spring hydrant flushing will last for the next several weeks, weather permitting, until all City hydrants have been flushed. If you should have any questions, please call the Jasper Municipal Water Department at 812-482-5252.
Company officials say the water will be safe to drink, but customers should use their own discretion if doing laundry during this time because clothes may become discolored. Should anyone experience cloudy or colored water, they asked to run the cold water tap until it clears, which could be five minutes or longer.
