TRASH COLLECTION
The Street Department provides trash collection for residents within the City of Jasper once per week.
Trash bags must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. the day of your collection & not before 6:00 p.m. the day prior to your trash collection day.
Please do not assume the route is run the same time, same way, each week. We have various drivers who may travel the route differently or other ongoing projects which require a change in the time/direction of the route.
Landlords provide the trash service for residents in apartment complexes having more than four units, the City does not provide this service to these complexes.
The City of Jasper follows a "pay as you throw" trash program. Each trash bag must have a trash tag/sticker attached. Trash tags are $1.50 each and may be purchased at the following locations: Jasper City Hall, Jasper Holiday Foods, Hometown IGA, Sunny's Food Marts/Gas Stations, Jasper Marathon, Northside Citgo, Sunset Citgo, Jasper Wal-Mart & Schnucks Fresh.
Trash bags shall not weigh more than thirty (30) pounds. The City cannot take an overweight bag, regardless of how many stickers it has attached.
When affixing a trash sticker to a trash bag, we suggest you double the sticker over the tie twist so the ends of the sticker is back to back. This will prevent the sticker from coming off during inclement weather.
Do not place your trash bags behind parked cars or anywhere which is not clearly visible from the street.
To determine the day of your trash collection, click here, or contact the Jasper Street Department at (812) 482-1130.
Please refer to the City of Jasper Trash and Recycling Calendar, local newspaper or social media for Holiday closings which may affect your regularly scheduled trash collection day.
