LOST & FOUND DOGS
Only dogs located within the Jasper City Limits will be picked up for return to owner.
If you have detained a dog which has been running at large, please contact the Jasper Police Department at 482-2255 (non-emergency number). They will then contact the Street Department, at which time the dog will be picked up.
Dogs brought to the Street Dept. by residents, will NOT be accepted.
If you have lost a dog, please contact the Street Dept. at 812-482-1130 with your name, phone number and description of dog.
The Jasper Street Dept. would like to suggest that dog owners may want to get their pet micro-chipped, which is a small device (similar to a grain of rice) inserted under the skin on the back of the neck. This device is then registered on line. Should we pick up your dog, this expedites the Street Dept. reuniting you with your dog.
These micro-chips are available at a minimal cost at the Dubois County Humane Society 812-482-7387.
The Street Department is NOT a shelter or rescue group.
Should you have a dog which you no longer want or can no longer care for, please call the Dubois County Humane Society (812-482-7387)
