Schroeder Soccer Complex

The Schroeder Soccer Complex is named after William J. Schroeder, the 2nd recipient of an artificial heart and the longest living recipient at that time.  Mr. Schroeder's classmates, the Jasper High School class of 1950, raised money to place a memorial sculpture at the complex.  Created by Jasper sculptor Bernard Hagedorn, the sculpture entitled "Gateway to the Heart" is a 13.5 foot tall arch that represents not only the gateway to the soccer complex but also the gateway to Schroeder's hometown, Jasper, Indiana.

The complex features multiple size soccer fields, a concession stand, 2 shelter houses and 2 playgrounds.
