Downtown Revitalization Project - Phase II
Project Update as of 9.03.2025
A construction meeting regarding the Downtown Revitalization Phase II Project was held on September 3rd with representatives of Ragle Construction, REA, VS Engineering, and City of Jasper.
Here is a summary of the discussion:
The intersection at 9th and Main is now closed for repair. East/West Truck traffic shall use 15th Street while 9th St is closed. The rest of Main Street is now completely open for traffic.
NORTH MAIN – 9th Street
• Week of September 1st – Prep and Pour flatwork (sidewalks, ramps, and drives)
• Week of September 8th – Continue flatwork (sidewalks, ramps, and drives), demo remaining road and backfill with rock in preparation for paving.
• Week of September 15th – Begin mill and paving N. Main St. Work on fixing some low spots in pavement on S. Main to follow completion on north end.
Please note the new 4-way stop signs located at the intersection of 5th & Main and 7th & Main.
Final paving of Main Street will occur shortly after the 9th St intersection is repaired.
• Scheduling is dependent on weather and materials.
• Accessibility to all building entrances will be maintained for foot traffic throughout the project.
• Meetings with contractor representatives are held bi-weekly once construction begins. Additional updates will be provided on a bi-weekly basis, or as updates become available.
